Acupuncture

Acupuncture consists of very thin needles being inserted through the skin at strategic points in order to stimulate nerves, muscles and connective tissue. Rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is used to treat pain and a broad spectrum of mechanical disorders. Dr. McQuoid is a member of the Acupuncture Council of Ontario. She received acupuncture training at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, McMaster University, and the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. This training satisfies the World Health Organization’s requirements for acupuncture treatment.
